Some of my fondest childhood memories come from summers in the 1000 Islands, where my Great-Grandfather kept two tins of magical chocolate chip cookies on top of the fridge. They were thin, chewy, crispy, and had the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors—unlike anything I had ever tasted.
